Skill: find ways to come together/unite/align with others; make the best of what is around


True Alignments:  thoughtful, taking care with words and actions, sharing, lively, nipping a problem in the bud (before it gets started), illusions and misperceptions exposed, talent revealed, strategic planning, team building, future foretold, the art-science of archetypes


Catalysts for Change: acting on impulse (instead refrain, regroup, rethink), not feeling good enough, carrying things too far/overreacting, fear of speaking or standing up for self, difficulty adjusting, minimizing other people's feelings, underestimating an "opponent," overly suspicious, putting up a wall, controlling other people's minds, attempts to steal (especially stealing or shrouding joy), betrayal

What type of mind space would you like to create today?  What do you want to weave into the magic carpet or narrative of your life?


"STORIES" are important today, as we have powerful energetics to direct the course of events the way we would like them to go or be (especially if they have seemed "out of control" or "out of hand").  This is true, as always, for us personally and collectively.  Things can undergo dramatic renaissance.  We can undergo dramatic renaissance.  We can take great steps toward changing our personal and collective narratives today, as these energetics combine:


1- MERCURY: "a powerful statesman overcomes a state of political hysteria" - Charismatic energy is available -- the kind that turns the tide.  Equilibrium is established.  Emotions were running high this past weekend with the Venus-Mars square and the Jupiter-Chiron opposition, so there may well be things that need to come back into balance.  Things are coming up so that we can deal with them and move in the best directions.  This is what astrological squares produce: the opportunity for growth and development, induced through a change.  Life is not meant to be static or stagnant.  Squares are what makes things happen.


2- SUN: "a volunteer church choir makes a social event of rehearsal" - The Sun brings us the power to come together, find common ground, and integrate.  The symbol references voices joyfully uniting in spiritual service. Like-minded people, places, and things come together or come back together.  A practice or discipline of coming together in common mission carries unlimited positive ripple effects today.


3- EARTH: "a watchdog standing guard, protecting his master and his possessions" - The Earth amplifies the energetics of protection, loyalty, and guardianship.  We know this to be the true nature of dogs, but it is native to us as well (just overshadowed).  What do you want to protect or guard?  To what do you remain loyal or committed?  What is your guidance?  These are good questions to consider today.


4- VENUS: "black and white children playing happily" - Things that have seemed very far apart or dissimilar become less so today.  Dualities or divisions are resolved, often through a softening of beliefs.  Understanding or acknowledging gray areas can take quite a bit of pressure off of things.  It is ok for things to be "in process."


5- MARS: "two men playing chess" - The black and white theme recurs with Mars moving to this degree of the zodiac.  The "chessboard" of the world changes as nations make moves over the next couple of days.  These "moves" reveal longer term plans.  Hidden players are shown.  Double deals, double promises, and double crosses are rapidly coming to light right now with Uranus discharging "a double promise reveals its inner and outer meanings."  Look at all of the "leaks" that are happening.  This theme is enhanced today as the Moon makes opposition with Uranus, doubling the power for revelations.  Exact opposition of the Moon and Uranus occurs at 11:40am ET/3:40 pm UT.  Changes are afoot.


All of these threads are woven to form the stories and narratives of our lives (our magic carpet) today.  The adventure continues.  Let's create our stories.  Let's write them the way WE want them to be.  Let's restore wisdom to full liberty.  Let's show what we can really do.

ORACLE REPORT SHORT REPORT

Moon in Virgo/Libra (Saturday 12:57 pm ET/4:57 pm UT)
The primary dynamic in effect through the weekend is Venus making a square with Mars.  Exact square occurs Saturday, August 6 at 8:00 pm ET/midnight UT.  Venus at 02 Virgo shows us something important in relationships with "a large white cross - dominating the landscape - stands alone on top of a high hill."  Mars at 02 Sagittarius shows us what has been hidden and brings things to the surface with  "the ocean covered with whitecaps."
When Venus is in Virgo, both the beauty of life and the pain of life can be keenly felt.  We can be very critical of ourselves and the places where we feel we have failed or where we feel others have failed us.  These things are in hyper focus this weekend with the Venus-Mars square in combination with the Jupiter-Chiron opposition that is in effect.  Jupiter expands all that it contacts.  Chiron takes us on personal journeys of pain, healing, and wisdom.
As Venus makes the square with Mars this weekend, it is also activating Chiron (which is already amplified by Jupiter).  Venus is making a trine with the Chiron Point - the most powerful expression of Chiron's nature to wound, heal, and teach.
These dynamics are a recipe for discerning truth and coming to a place of healing, particularly within relationships (and particularly for those with the Sun in Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces - the mutable signs).
To balance the energies this weekend, here are some suggestions:
  • significantly increase water intake
  • eliminate sugar (especially if intake increased Friday when Venus moved into Virgo)
  • connect with your physical body in some way (merely stretching will work wonders.  Moving the body is important when a Mars aspect is in play)
  • make a list if your mind is caught in a loop of what you need to accomplish.  Writing it down will stop the mind feed.
  • choose to do something that would make your inner child happy
  • perform an act of self care (care for/about appearance is dramatically heightened with Venus in Virgo)
  • GO OUTSIDE AND COMMUNE WITH THE GODDESS OF THE EARTH, GAIA SOPHIA.  Take in the beauty.  This is the best advice for anything and everything.
